Raquel Fernández León has been appointed the new ATAM president. The appointment was made effective on 21 July at the last meeting of the Governing Council of ATAM, the highest governing body of this entity.
Raquel Fernández took over with the excitement that means the new challenge of the presidency of ATAM, to continue working to become the best protection system for Telefónica’s families in the event of any eventuality related to disability and dependency.
Raquel Fernández León holds a degree in Psychology from the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas and a postgraduate degree in People Management and Development from Esade. She joined Telefónica in 1999 in the Human Resources Area, assuming different positions of responsibility in the Training, Recruitment, and Development Areas. In 2018, she took over the Organization, Planning, and Compensation Department, and, subsequently, in January 2020, she was appointed Director of People, becoming a member of the Management Committee of Telefónica Spain.
Since 2016, Raquel is also responsible for designing a diversity management strategy and implementing a culture of inclusion in the organization that drives the great transformation that Telefónica is carrying out.
From ATAM, we sincerely welcome her and are convinced that Raquel Fernández’s knowledge and professionalism will be a key factor both in the operation and development of future ATAM initiatives.
