The Madrid Health Service and ATAM have signed a collaboration agreement for the Epsilon scientific project, an international project based on Big Data and artificial intelligence applied to the diagnosis and prevention of the state of health of people with disabilities, elderly dependents, and the chronically ill.
Within the set of initiatives developed by the ATAM team in recent years, the “Epsilon Project” stands out, an international project based on the processing of massive data and artificial intelligence applied to the diagnosis and prevention of the state of health of people with disabilities, elderly dependents, and chronically ill people.
This project has a collaborative ecosystem made up of top-level scientific, technological, and social entities, which have just been joined by the Department of Health of the Community of Madrid through the signing of a collaboration agreement that will allow the analysis of data from the Primary Care Service and the study of information, duly anonymized, from the clinical records of the Madrid Health Service. Thanks to the analysis of this data, progress can be made in early detection. A key factor in the evolution and treatment of diseases, disability, and dependence besides improving the quality of life.
The signing of this agreement is undoubtedly a turning point in the project. Through the collaboration between the two entities over the next four years, the aim is to obtain information that will improve decision-making for the determination of plans and policies for action in health matters and the sustainable development of the public health system.
This collaboration falls within the framework of ATAM’s work as a social organization in the digital world: To promote health and personal autonomy through Big Data and artificial intelligence.
