The ATAM Clinical Team is launching an innovative project with the target to measure and conceptualize mental functioning. It is a fascinating adventure that will allow our partners to be part of a unique project designed and implemented at ATAM, considering the most significant advances in neurosciences and complexity sciences in recent years. The mind is the most sophisticated and marvelous weapon that evolution has endowed human beings. Leading neuroscientists believe that, for the first time in history, we are able to understand and define the mind. This progress is largely due to the incredible advances in neuroscience over the last 30 years.
To benefit fully from the new knowledge, we must be capable to measure mental functioning. It can be a very engaging and, at the same time, a challenging task, as some of the components of mental performance are slightly slippery and escape measurement with the instruments we currently possess.
ATAM is developing a clinical innovation project to determine an experimental model for assessing mental functioning and is looking for 50 volunteer participants. Partners’ participation is an unvaluable contribution to furthering our understanding of the human mind and spirit. Participants will be attending psychiatry and psychology clinics in person or via video consultation. Each consultation will last approximately one hour and includes both a global assessment of mental health and a digital assessment of cognitive performance.
Thus, upon the consultations, each participant will obtain a report on their cognitive performance.
